Nov 21, 2024  ·  Martin Eisenberg

Portsmouth, Australia. An unprecedented event took place during last night's MMA game. Will Brown (31) is wanted after breaking into the ring and severely beating one of the main contenders for the title. He probably was under influence of alcohol.

The incident took place right before the start of the main fight of the evening. The man broke into the ring, threw the referee through the lines and started an intense argument with one of the fighters. In seconds, the word turned into punches.

The contender defended himself for a brief moment, but Will quickly gained an advantage, 'Blood was spilled, but at that point we didn't know whose blood was it' says Mark Shultz, one of the commentators present in the hall. 'A moment later the fighter was lying on the ground while the attacker kept punching him. He received a series of strong punches to the head. It was a quick KO. I have to say I was impressed'.

The beaten fighter suffered concussion, a broken nose and probably a fractured cheekbone as well. He was transported to a hospital where doctors decided he should stay for observation.

Viewing footage from yesterdays MMA night in #Portsmouth... That was truly savage! Organisers #fail to secure the event

Police are looking for the perpetrator who quickly left the hall after the incident. The organisers also decided to sue the company responsible for the security of the event. 'Their lack of reaction was absolutely outrageous, it's not what we paid for' says one of the organisers.

The man is not only wanted by the police, many fight clubs would like to try him in real fight since it's not common someone can beat a professional MMA fighter.

I've been there and the crowd just exploded. That was unbelievable. Will got a huge round of applause.

I'll bet that was a complete set-up from start to end. They probably want to create buzz around a new fighter.

That one moronic sport for half-brained idiots with a hormonal imbalance. A few fights like that lead to irreversible brain damage. On the other hand it shouldn't do them any more harm.

I also tend to think it was a set up. Local mma struggles lately, not much people interested in paying for it. It slowly becoming some theatrical shit like wrestling. Same in boxing, fake beefs etc.

Heard that the other guy was a police snitch, he'll probably get some more when he leave the hospital.

That's quite an achievement, to knock down a professional fighter ready for action? No wonder that the clubs want to try him out - that may be a future champion. Shame that he'll have to do some time now...
